Mission:
Vacant Theatre and Film Company is a theatre and film company that uses entertainment to create dialogue about society's dilemmas and celebrate our uniqueness as individuals who are part of a diverse society. The stories that the company shares are a mirror to the spaces that we live in and also the spaces keep us apart.
Vision:
To create original, innovative, and relevant theatre experiences that stimulate and inspire young and old people to think critically about the world around them, and to engage in constructive and creative self-expression. This will be through producing high quality provocative theatre and film for audiences in Eastern Cape and on tour (South Africa and the world), working to create dialogue and partnership with like-minded arts practitioners (professional & non-professional), community groups and local experts.
